The direct answers
- Expiry: almost all NLP certificates are lifetime-issued and do not expire. Some bodies/providers recommend renewal via continuing education — recommendation, not regulation
- Verification: most bodies have no public verification registry. A certificate is only as checkable as the issuing provider's records
- Geography: an Indian-issued or US-body certificate means the same thing everywhere — a private attestation, nowhere regulated
What "valid" should mean to you
Since no regulator underwrites validity, the working definition is: does your market accept it, and can you do the work? Corporate buyers may ask for provider names; individual clients increasingly ask for demonstrated process. Both are served by keeping evidence of your training and — stronger — a portfolio of recorded practice.
The renewal question in practice
Skills expire faster than certificates. Coaches who trained years ago and have not practised hold valid paper and rusty capability. If your certificate is old and unused, the honest move is practice refreshment, not paperwork renewal.
