What you actually learn: to notice physiology, breathing, tempo and language shifts, and to treat them as data about state change — never as certified knowledge of content. "She shifted when pricing came up" is calibration; "she's lying" is hallucination. The first is a skill; the second is a liability.
Can NLP Teach You to Read People?
Yes in the honest sense — reading shifts against a person's own baseline (calibration) is trainable and NLP trains it hard. No in the psychic sense — NLP's eye-direction mind-reading claims failed testing and we've dropped them.
