Expectancy research across medicine and psychology shows belief shaping reported outcomes, motivation and even some physiological measures. For NLP this cuts twice: techniques may partly work through expectation (legitimate, if honest), and glowing testimonials are exactly what expectancy produces regardless of technique quality.
