The biography, briefly
John Grinder was a linguist at UC Santa Cruz (background in transformational grammar and field work) when he partnered with student Richard Bandler to model Perls and Satir, co-authoring The Structure of Magic and the Patterns books. With Judith DeLozier he later developed New Code NLP in the 1980s — a reformulation emphasising state, unconscious selection of resources, and tighter methodology than the "classic code".
New Code in the Indian market
- Some Indian providers position New Code as the "advanced/authentic" version — it is a reformulation, not a supremacy fact

Classic vs New Code, honestly
Both codes share the modelling core. New Code revises some classic assumptions and adds formats (e.g., the alphabet game as a state developer). For a buyer, the code matters less than whether the trainer can demonstrate, assess and stay honest about evidence.
