Most relationship conflict is two first positions shouting across a table. NLP's structure-level tools — with honest limits about where therapy belongs.
The couple toolkit
Fights are usually deleted premises: "you never support me" — never? which support, tried when? Meta Model gently applied
Escalation control: one partner regulating their state halves the system's temperature
Perceptual positions at home: actually inhabiting the other chair in the recurring argument
Intention-first listening: what is this behaviour protecting for them?
The honest limit
NLP patterns repair communication; they do not treat abuse, addiction or clinical relationship distress — those need qualified couples therapy. Knowing which situation you're in is the first skill.
