The three online formats
- Recorded-only: watch videos, receive a certificate. Zero observed practice — the weakest option in the market
- Live online cohorts: scheduled real-time training with demonstration and supervised practice. Comparable to classroom delivery, sometimes stronger
- Hybrid: recorded theory plus live practice blocks — reasonable when the practice blocks are substantial and observed
Does "online" weaken the certificate?
In India the certificate's market signal depends on provider reputation, not delivery mode — HR teams have accepted live online training since 2020. What genuinely weakens a certificate is absence of assessment: camera-on observed practice, feedback on recorded work, and a real possibility of not passing. A live online programme with those features certifies more than an unassessed classroom weekend.
When online is the better choice
When your goal is skill: live online cohorts deliver spaced weekly practice — the variable that most predicts capability — without travel. Intensive formats compress exposure but disperse practice. IONI runs its entire six-month programme live online for exactly this reason, with every practice hour observed and recorded work reviewed.
