- "How many of the course hours are me practising while someone watches, versus listening?"
- "What is the maximum class size, and who observes practice blocks?"
- "What must I demonstrate to complete the course — and when did someone last not complete it?"
- "Will my practice be recorded and reviewed?"
On the field and scope
- "What is your position on NLP's research record?" — evasive or "fully proven" answers are a flag
- "What won't this training qualify me to do?" — scope honesty is the credibility test
- "Which claims from classic NLP have you personally dropped?" — skilled practitioners have a list
On business terms
- "What exactly does the fee include — recordings, retakes, community, supervision?"
- "What is the refund policy in writing, up to which day?"
- "If I miss sessions, how do I recover them?"
- "Who actually teaches each session — you, or an assistant?"
Reading the answers
Good signs: specific numbers, stated limits, a relaxed welcome for the question. Concerning signs: offence at being asked, appeal to authority ("certified by X"), vagueness that stays vague after a second ask. Print this list; bring it to the discovery call.
